about
Day 3 of Quarantine.
I initially wrote this track on my birthday this summer as a for fun, whatever song. Thankfully, it quickly grew on me, and I decided to finish it!
The lyrics are inspired by how technology seeps into every crack of society for better or for worse, and some other funny lines I kept for quarantine's sake.
lyrics
Every time I see you go
It’s go, go, go, go, go, go gadget
Living in this time of notice
everyone is a fanatic
Every time I see you go
It’s go, go, go, go, go, go gadget
Every inch of every song
I make sure you tune in the magic
You go out of your way, smile,
Wicked wordplay, quarter past nine
Flipping my pain, Hologram stage,
Living first aid.
Copycat farm, Southern blockade
Fictional sounds from frictionless weight
Pour La Croix out, its a distaste
Every time I see you go
It’s go, go, go, go, go, go gadget.
And then there’s me,
you got me all figured out
Brittle hind feet
Stepping wiser now
Complicate pain
Achieving no mind
You turned the sun on once
You never tried twice
You’ve been cold once, you’ll be cold again.
Nevermind the money’s not coming back.
It's been said once, it can be said again.
Forever mice of the world, humanity’s lens.
You recalled the chance, but you’ll never win
You never died, you never saw the elephant.
Every time I see you go
It’s go, go, go, go, go, go gadget
Living in this time of notice
everyone is a fanatic
Every time I see you go
It’s go, go, go, go, go, go gadget
Every inch of every song
I make sure you tune in the magic
Don’t you know, stop playin
You don’t play the way I play
Yet you’ve got all the things I crave
So you can call me back tomorrow
Every time I see you go
It’s go, go, go, go, go, go gadget
Living in this time of notice
everyone is a fanatic
Every time I see you go
It’s go, go, go, go, go, go gadget
Every inch of every song
I make sure you tune in the magic
